How to start preparing for better career growth?

If you are inerested in c#, this will make your career better. if not dont go for it. if you are really interested in C# learn from beginning like oops concept. and try to build some simple application with database connection alone. try putting some logic to your application and try applying that. if you stuck try putting break point and find the problem.if not able to solve that proble search in google or you can ask here.
