How to stop only one application not a entire website on IIS

Under iplanetwebsite I have applications deployed on IIS 6.0 as shown in following image url

Here I want to stop only one particular application not a entire website. How I can do that please tell step by step.

You can do authentication changes in your application's web.config file
OR
Under location tag also you can do changes
