how to store and retreive ms word document in sql server 2000 using asp.net with c#

I think one way to store a Word document in a SQL Server database is to store it in a BLOB. Anotyher possibility might be to convert the Word document into the standard Office format that uses XML (I forget what it is called), then store the XML as text.
