how to use ms sql server in xamarin ?

I have created a windows application with C# and ms sql as a database now , i want to create the same application for mobile (android) but need to use the same database.

But i came to know that the xamarin uses sqllite as db and can some one suggest me how to inter link both and maintain a same database for windows and mobile application.

P.S: if have any link for tutorial or reference pls share

Your Xamarin Mobile app should not connect directly to your SQL database. You should implement a REST API that handles all your database operations and then call that REST API enpoints to your Xamarin mobile app and windows app. Here's an example that I wrote about something like that: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/51246.fun-with-xamarin-building-a-simple-working-memory-game-app-with-web-api-and-signalr.aspx
