How to validate submit button control in asp.net mvc c#?

Hi Team

I have a asp.net mvc form, i want to find a way to validate my submit button if there are empty fields missing before it can be sent to a user. Any help mates, thanks.

Hi Team

I need some examples around the controller, on the model side i understand. If javascript is to put implemented i also need some pseudo code so can understand rest myself.

So for this case you just need to validate your input modal.

Now you must have to put some attributes like [Required] at the top of each property that is a required field so when you put (ModelState.IsValid) on your button click this will check with all the attributes given with the modal properties if it fills you will get the modal.isValid as true else false.

But you should set proper attributes like [Required] for mandatory fields and pass that model inside controller method

Yes exactly, you can also add unobtrusive javascript for validation too to validate at client side.
