@Html.HiddenFor() always returns default 0 value?

@Html.HiddenFor() always returns default 0 value?

I have a form which has a dropdownlist with Services.

I'm using the hiddenfor so that on page load the selected item from this dropdown Id, is sent to a post action in the controller.

But for some reason the value of this hiddenfor attribute is always 0.

what am i doing wrong please help.

Hi Dear,

I think that you will have to set hidden field default value 0.

If y u have to set it so please
update it on dropdownlist selection event.

Does you set value of hidden in dropdown change event?

does your Hidden field populated with data? Please try to debug your codes and check the model values that is assigned to your Hidden field.
