Hello guys,

I have created a c# web service and hosted in client server pc. when I run the web service, I am getting the error

I have given permission to the user in c:\\inetpub folder. So guys.. I need your help to solve the issue

Sachin,

I have selected the paltform target to 'Any CPU'.

The server, I am running the service is 64 bit system.

try to change following
1. if the server is 32 bit you might had developed your webservice in 64 bit , kindly reverse it, try to build that project in X64 .
2. check ApplicationPoolIdentity have all permission.(a must try)

sachin Singh, other web services are able to run in that pc. Can it solve by adding anything in we.config?

your error code is 0x80070021 ,it means the specified portion of the IIS configuration file is locked at a higher configuration level.
we can't guess what is locked though
