HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error

Hello,

Actually i want to run my website through IIS server 6.0.

this is showing error in web config file.

Please check and help me out from this issues.

Looks like the user account you're using for your app pool doesn't have rights to the web site directory, so it can't read config from there. Check the app pool and see what user it is configured to run as. Check the directory and see if that user has appropriate rights to it. While you're at it, check the event log and see if IIS logged any more detailed diagnostic information there.

there can be 100s of reasons for this error, something wrong in web.config or entire web.config is not a valid xml, some thing may be in code behind, application pool, etc.

it is difficult to answer based on the information you provided. I suggest trial and error or looking at error logs of windows.
