HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable.

Hi guys.

We are facing one issue since yesterday.

Our public facing website has developed on

sharepoint 2013

and when end user tries to open the website they are getting

HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable. error And after 2,3 minutes it's automatically working fine, and then again after some time getting same issues.

May I please know what would be the issues?

No errors in Log files, Application pool is working fine.

Thanks for your response.

Actually whatever you have mentioned I have had already checked and everything is properly configured and working.

When I enter the url of Website its showing the error of 503 not available, but if I refresh the same page for 4,5 times it's working perfectly fine..

Do you know what can be the problem?

We heard there were some hackers who tried to hack our portal,but I'm not sure about it.

It occurs due to Application pool unavailable, Concurrent request limit exceeded or
ASP.NET queue full. Follow below steps:

Restart/Reset IIS and see if things work out for you. Secondly make sure your application is properly configured means with correct port no, protocol etc. Http 503 error is generated by the IIS and it happens when web server sends data stream back to the web site.

Verify that all SharePoint services are started, this error might occur because of changing the service account password. It could be that the user identity is outdated, especially if you've tried starting a stopped app pool and the next request again fails.You may need to change the new password to application pool or SharePoint timer service. Click the stopped application pool -> click advanced settings ->Identity ->click the user to retype the user ->Application Pool Identity dialog ->click set -> manually type the user name and password. Then restart the server.
