hello... I am planning to enhance my Simple Chatting System that is shown in the Networking part for the C#. My enhancements will be colored texts, allowing the user's to create rooms, private chatting and file sharing. But I did'nt get the start point for doing that, So I will be happy if we open a disscusion for these enhancement, and the dis. will be on HOW TO : 1-Allowing users to create their own rooms. 2-Coloring text, So , each user can choose the color that he wants. 3-Allowing two talkers to talk to each other privately. 4-finally, Allowing to share files . waitting for a hot disscusion... :)

jkersch: I already begin doing it and I have completed the part of main board chatting and private messaging... one new feature that I add is tha every one should register for the chatting system to be able to enter the chat system. and you can send e-mails to any one that is offline. for coloring the text I didn't know how to involve multi-colored texts in a text box field... can I use HTML tags? and How?

asic1984: first u must open the server "bin\Debug\chatServer.exe" then open more than one client "bin\Debug\chatClient.exe" in the client side put this IP in the Server IP field "127.0.0.1" and this Port no. in the port field "9060" and give any nick name u want and then join the chat :)

do you want it to be client-server style (if yes,you can do it rpc-style..i wrote such a program with Java RMI at university) or rather p2p (i.e. no central point. would be more complex (at least if you don´t want to use Multicast) though more flexible) ?

hi will i am not with knowledge in c# but i will try to work with u as i am interested in this project if you are who make the example of chat program in network part as what i understand ...i have problem to download it .....even i am log in...he ask me to log in !!!!! will i suggest that we start from bottom to top so why donnot we start with coloring text first?

One suggestion is to take benifits of "Remoting" ... any other ones...?
