Apply filtering on excel and have the schema same as of SharePoint list. This will simplify the importing process.

Hi,

When you go on to your list or library, you can see there is an option Export to Excel on the ribbon.

You can choose the columns you want on the view and click on that button, Export to excel to get a desired set of results as an output.
