In a 3 - tier architecture what is the best place to store Session?

Hi,

In one of the interviews I was asked which is the best palce to store session. Can anyone please help answering this question.

Thanks for the answer, but which would be best place to store sessions means is it Inproc, State server or SQL Server database.

Config files are the best place to store connection strings.If it’s a web-based application “Web.config” file
will be used and if it’s a windows application “App.config” files will be used.
