In Email Assign a domain standard or not ?

Hi Charusheela,

The regular expression to check an email address GENERALLY checks if;

There is an '@' character',
There is some text before the '@' character (username), [inathi.gqola@mydomain.co.za]
There is some text after the '@' character. (domain), [inathi.gqola@mydomain.co.za]
There is a period/fullstop (.) after the domain [inathi.gqola@mydomain.co.za]
There is text after the fullstop (extension/country code) [inathi.gqola@mydomain.co.za]

There are products that claim to check the validity/existence of an email address if you REALLY, REALLY have to get a correct one from the user. But even then a user can still enter a valid email address that does not belong to them LOL! So the best thing to take the old route of sending an email to the address and having the user confirm..
