installation of vs 2015 and ssms

Hello,

i want to install visual studio 2015 and compatible sql server on desktop (windows 10)

can any one pls provide links to install?

which are both free version and which sql server managemnet studio version will be compatible with vs2015?

install SQLEXPR and then SQLManagementStudio, choose the version as per your machine configuration .

thank you for reply ..but can you tell me when downloading sql server there are so many options coming so which one shall i download

MgmtStudio 32BIT\SQLManagementStudio_x86_ENU.exe

MgmtStudio 64BIT\SQLManagementStudio_x64_ENU.exe

Express 32BIT\SQLEXPR_x86_ENU.exe

Express 64BIT\SQLEXPR_x64_ENU.exe

You can get Visual Studio 2015 community edition free from below link

You can download SQL Server 2012 express from below mentioned link

VS 2015 is also compatible with SQL server 2008.you can get that from below link

https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=7593

I suggest you to use VS 2017 community edition as it has lot new feature and also support .Net core 2.0 and it is also free.You can get that at below link

https://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/

You can use any of the above mentioned Sql Server version with VS2017 Community edition.
