iPad 3 comes out today

Wonder what is new in it? Better camera, screen? What else? Are you going to buy it?

I agree. I think Microsoft is up to something with Windows 8. I do have a really cool Windows Phone and after using iPhone for years, I am not used to it but if I start working with Windows 8, eventually I might switch to Windows 8 tablet.

I use mine for reading e-books and articles, listening to music and checking my mail etc. when my laptop's either not on or hibernating. It's a nice device (the only Apple kit I own or have ever owned) but, unless you travel a lot (which I don't either), not really worth the money compared to the price of a Windows laptop these days. However, it's setting the bar very high for Windows 8 tablets when they eventually appear. Steve Ballmer's blood pressure has probably gone up a notch or two!

I agree. I have been hoping for more but it's alright. I do have iPad 2 but I never use it. My son Neel use it to play games etc and that's about it. I personally found it a useless device unless you travel a lot. I hardly travel. May be I will travel now to INDIA for the MVP Summit. I just don't see it using a lot :). I would rather read an issue of MSDN magazine. I have iPhone and I have to confess, that's the only product from Apple I like.

Well, it's out now and is apparently going to be called the new iPad rather than iPad3. As you predicted, Mahesh, it's got a Retina display and a better camera. It's also got a quad-core graphics processor and the new iOS 5.1.
