What do you mean by offer? Is this a contract work? Of course it is normal to feel what you feel. But feel free to get out questions from your head and share with us.

Yes. If you take a contract work and you don't know how to do it, you will end up loosing money than making money. If you are in USA, you will also get lawsuits for false promises.
