No! Windows is better bc Microsoft focused products are first tested and launch for Windows.

I think that the requirements for .NET development are very different from the requirements for personal use. They should be separate questions.
The thing I do not like about Apple products is that the hardware and software are budled together. The Apple operating system(s) cannot be used in non-Apple hardware and non-Apple operating systems cannot be used with Apple hardware, except maybe a little. The Apple company does many things that are incompatible with other equipment. Apple does innovate but they make little effort to get along with others until they are forced to.
Apple systems do not totally support .Net. They do not support WPF and Windows Forms and never will.

My recommendation is windows for .NET Development and personal use.
