If someone is starting his career with a small IT company in private sector and someday met an accident, mostly small companies get rid from that poor employee. But in govt sector, they is good compensation. 

If you loyal with 1 company, they have their own system to promote and scale. Your pay scale may be lesser than the new one coming on the same designation. After a certain period you will be promoted with some extra hike and again this will not equal to your colleagues on the same post who has come from other companies.

In govt sector, there is a fixed period and on completion of that you will definitely get promoted with the predefined rules and pay scale. You know this hike at the first day of your joining because of the clear cut rules. But in pvt sector, you will not aware about your hike till you got promotion!

If you switch companies you can make your package very handsome. But its all about deal. If they don't have work, they will through you out. The scope is not certain. But in govt sector you are still secured.

also, in case of disability, pvt sector will not entertain.

It depends on what you like to do and what you want to be in your life. Close your eyes and think for a moment. If you had a chance, what would you like to see yourself to be. Do you see yourself sitting on a computer desk, writing code or do you see somebody calling you "Sir" and bringing you tea and you are managing people. 

Govt jobs are for people who are looking for stable job and easier life with less hassle. Private jobs are for people who want to grow faster and work harder.
