Keep values in round trips

Dear Experts
i have taken 2 input box and sending parameter to sql stored procedure and getting result into gridview but when result is coming both values in input box getting reset to initial state? i am using vb.net as a code behind file in asp.net
please help?
also what is reason of happening this thing

Initial state means text box value getting cleared or something else. Where and how you binding the text box. If its on Page Load then remember to have if(!IsPostBack) { } check.

Thanks It gets resolved, i am getting date calender on page load by java script in input box
