As a programmer it is critical to learn programming. The concern is that AI is replacing beginner programmers but not experienced programmers. Another critical skill I think is the ability to write specifications clearly, concisely and be as relevant as possible. The reason that is important is that if you can describe something clearly and accurately then AI is likely to be able to write it.

I want to add that when you do request AI to write code for you, it is important that you study the code. If there is anything in the code you do not understand then use that as an opportunity to learn. It is also important to ensure the program does what you need done. Sometimes AI makes mistakes; they will even tell you they do. There could also be design mistakes caused by you not being clear or accurate.
