launching a WPF application from another program

hello !
I wish to launch a wpf application from another based on some condition (suppose if user says "start "[application code can recognize voice here ] then another WPF application should be launched closing the current wpf application). can somebody help me with this.

Well, the basic code to do that will be along these lines: if (condition) { System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(otherAppFilePath); Application.Current.Shutdown(); }

Well, what you're doing there is running the solution file whereas what you need to do is to run the executable for the other application. If this is the path to the solution file: "D:\project_work\project related\latest work\displayLayout.sln" and you're still debugging the other application, then I'd expect the path of the executable to be something like this: "D:\project_work\project related\latest work\displayLayout\bin\debug\displayLayout.exe" If the other application is in release mode then replace "debug" with "release" in the above path. However, I'd check that this path is in fact correct before you use it.

I tried this code : private void Window_Loaded(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { if( myString == "sensor_ready") { System.Diagnostics.Process.Start("D:\project_work\project related\latest work\displayLayout.sln"); Application.Current.Shutdown(); } } what happens is the application folder opens up. i wish to know if i can make other application to run ?
