local host not working, when i add web.config in asp.net

Hi

IIS not displaying default page

I am using windows 7 ultimate,but IIS is not working properly ,whenever I type http://localhost, an error gets displayed

coming "HTTP Error 404. The requested resource is not found." it does'nt show default page,

is there any feature with which i can completely uninstall IIS including Inetpub folder??

or what should I do to make it work properly??

 

I have both installed IIS and IIS 6.0
