hey guys, can anybody help create a logout button/link, because I created my own login but the logout I tried but when I press the browser back button it just goes back to the last page, I am using Firefox.Any help guys?

you can try like this on Logout page..

 protected override void OnPreRender(EventArgs e)
    {
        base.OnPreRender(e);
        string strDisAbleBackButton;
        strDisAbleBackButton = "";
        ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptBlock(this.Page.GetType(), "clientScript", strDisAbleBackButton);

Thats going to depend on what you are doing for security. In the one of the projects I worked on, I set the authentication mode to Forms. That would ensure that when a user is not login, asp.net will always redirect to that location.







If you go with that you have to make sure you create the authTicket
   // Create the authetication ticket
   FormsAuthenticationTicket authTicket =
   new FormsAuthenticationTicket(1, // version
   username,
   DateTime.Now,
   DateTime.Now.AddMinutes(120),
   false, groups);

Other solutions are inheriting from Page class and checking user session on pageload, if not log redirect to your login page. This ofcourse will mean that all your pages will need to inherit from your custom page.
