Long lasting future Technology option

I am currently an Android developer in ahmedabad. My mind stuck with the technology future of android. My brother who has experience in Java for 6 years adviced me to switch over to Java technology which is good as a career instead of Android which is currently growing technology. I cant understand what to do next. Its not like that I don't like Android, but I like to hold hand of a technology which grow me high in my career.

As Mahesh sir suggested you, Android is not going to be down so sooner. Mobile development is in its novice stage as our earlier days of web developments. There are more revolution to come into mobile developments. Common platform development or hybrid apps development are coming into picture. There are many tools coming for making different mobile OS setups based on a singe common code.

I would suggest you to not switch but learn others tech if you can. You can focus on making more data driven, Offline apps ex Offline maps usage.

Well, as of now, I see Android in more demand. I don't see Android is going anywhere at least for next 10 years. So in next 10 years, I don't think you will be coding. You probably be working on many projects using many technologies. So you're good for now.
