Machine testing on MVC 5

If its really required then can go with:

For web: Nested GridView, DDL inside Grid, Data Access with 3 tier Architecture etc...

For Windows: Some inventory proj with contorls on page to fill data from Database.

But basically you have to check the way they are doing coding... For eg. Coding Standerd, Nomen clature of variables etc.

Or if you have any current issue in your running proj can discuss with them..

It depends on the organization conducting the machine test i.e. practical test round where one is required to code on a computer and demonstrate creating a working application or website.

 

The idea here is to gauge a person's technical coding skills and  ascertain he/she can actually do hands-on coding.

 

If I was to conduct a machine test for Dot Net, I will surely include some of the followings:-

 

- SQL Server Data Access with 3 tier Architecture/Entity Framework/LINQ (which can include writing a SP in SQL and calling it from Dot Net)

- MVC pattern

- File uploading

- Multi-threading

- login/authentication mechanism

- any sample application/website to create some order or write log to database

 

But in any case I will look for following in code-

- Naming conventions used?

- Coding standards followed?

- Code reuse?

- SOLID design principles used?
