Here's a very simple example of method overloading:

using System;

class Test
{
static void Main()
{
Greeting("Hello"); // calls overload which takes one parameter
Greeting("Hello", "World"); // calls overload which takes two parameters
Console.ReadKey();
}

static void Greeting(string s1)
{
Console.WriteLine(s1);
}

static void Greeting(string s1, string s2)
{
Console.WriteLine(s1 + " " + s2);
}
}

As expected the output is:

Hello
Hello World
