Method Overriding and Overloading in Java

Overriding is where you inherit an abstract or virtual method from a base class and provide it with an implementation, or a different implementation, in the derived class.

Overloading is where you have several methods in the same class with the same name but different signatures (i.e. the number and/or types of their parameters are not the same).
