Microsoft Hub Sites and Team Sites

Sandra Boyd

There's lots of talk surrounding the new Microsoft Hub sites that is currently being rolled out and how to associate a modern Team site to the Hub. We are currently using O365 with the exception of Exchange which is still on premise. What functionality will we not have with the new experience if we're not using Exchange online?

Modern sites are just an upgradation in terms of UI and the underlying page architecture & the technology of SharePoint. SharePoint Hub Sites allows you to associate multiple team sites & communication sites together to bring it in a single view. Hub sites can also aggregate content from the its associated sites like aggregating news/events. As a matter of fact, you should not see any changes in the integration piece with the exchange.

Hope this helps.
