James, You could either use SAPI 5.1/5.2 via Interop or try the new .Net Speech SDK (beta) to provide TTS functionality in .Net I believe C# samples are available with both SAPI download and the .Net speech SDK download/order. - dip

Okay, I'm curious..what are the base classes for Text-to-Speech in .Net? I'd like to do a little app to read my name, how do I get started? -James
