Awesome! Just single word needed to describe about this book.
Any day, it is best book for reference for developers. It covers the main essence of ASP.NET web programming: developing one page web application, developing multi-page web application, testing and debugging an ASP.NET application, and a crash course in HTML and CSS. Mainly the way it is distributed in sections. It starts with the most basic things in web development to more complex things. I really like the topic on "how to use AJAX to improve performance". It provides skills to be a professional ASP.NET developer like securing web application and authenticate users, deploying web applications, and more. The book also has some insight on how to develop WCF services that can be hosted by a web server and accessed by application running on any platform.
The final verdict: Must Buy. The book is useful for both beginners as well as professionals. The book is easy to understand and will certainly expedite the learning process of every person who wants to be a professional ASP.NET developer. Highly recommended.

You can find some good deals in Amazon but you have to hunt. I hope the good deals are also available in India or at least Europe since shipping from America to India I assume is expensive.
The other book is Programming Microsoft® ADO.NET 2.0 Core Reference by David Sceppa. I did some research and it seems to be a good book. There is a newer version of the book; I think the newer version is for ADO.NET 4.0. The eBook version is already available but as of a couple of weeks ago the printed version was not yet available. I will try to remember to post here when I have looked at the 2.0 version of the book that I have.
Both the books are published by Microsoft Press.

I want to have ADO.net book that is easy to understand, covers smart way to do and with good examples.

I am skeptical of whether the ADO.Net book has the material I am most interested in. For one thing, the book has one section about ASP.NET and the controls for it, which means it has less coverage of use of ADO.NET outside of the ADO.NET environment. It does describe 3-layer applications, LINQ to SQL, XML, Entity Data Models, reports and the ReportViewer control, but the description does not say it describes typed datasets such as TableAdapters. As far as I understand about Entity Data Models, they use typed datasets but this book probably does not describe TableAdapters as extensively as I am looking for and it is difficult to find books that do. I must admit that I have purchased two ADO.Net books that I have not had a chance to look at yet. I hope I am pleasantly surprised.
