Hi, will suggest me, how to count the number of employee from database table group by department where joining date after 2014.

Same query use to mvc. Execute as ado.net. Until explain me?

this seems ok in normal asp.net webform type....

what in mvc ???

You try this

select count (e.C_EmployeeCode) as Employee ,e.C_DepartmentCode as Department from employee e
where YEAR(e.D_DOJ)>YEAR(2014)
group by e.C_DepartmentCode

output:
