MVP - Clarification ?

I have all five stars from the MSDN forums (Simple Samples) and no mention of being a Microsoft MVP, except once when I first began helping in the MSDN forums; I think that was only because they thought I was the Sam Hobbs that co-authored a book about C (C, not C++ nor C#). There are many people that have contributed a lot in the MSDN forums that don't get much more for it than an inexpensive backpack.

Here is one Blog on this. On a side note, It does not have to be from Jan to Dec. It can be any month.

Well .. you don't have to be on all community sites :). You can just be focused on any website (for example C# Corner). We nominate or Microsoft picks up top contributors on the site automatically. We have many MVPs from this site.

I would say YES. The Microsoft MVP award is given for the whole year contributions on a community site like C# Corner. Unless you write a log in a few months and help lot of people but they evaluate for the whole year.
