as static variable is common to all procedures so only one object is created in the memory during run of the program (i think so )....please clarify my doubt .....

Yes your right, A static variable is declared with the help of static keyword. When a variable is declared as static, then a single copy of the variable is created and shared among all objects at the class level. Static variables are accessed with the name of the class, they do not require any object for access

This is something like
Suppose there is a memory address 1122 and at that address there is an object , now every method of your application points to this memory location only to access the member of that object. BTW stack and heap are just theoratical concepts there is nothing like such in reality.

In object oriented world everything is considered as an object , What you see is an object but what you say is a class , if i will ask you what are you using you will say Laptop (class) but in reality you are using a specific laptop like dell / hp etc which is an instance of laptop , so we always speak incorrectly , we see an object but we speak in terms of classes . Now attributes of different instances of same classes changes for example you have a laptop i too have a laptop but we both have laptops of different color and brand so two different objects.

The problem arises when something doesn't replicate the real world object for example a class say common where all mathematical methods are defined , this class will never map to a real world object as it will not change anytime , so we use static here , cause attributes of this class will not change object per object.
