name of the function called at the time of fetching data

When questions such as these are asked in interview, it becomes really difficult to guess what is expected answer.

 

One answer could be .ExecuteReader method of command object because it does fetches the data from the underlying data source. Another could be .GetString() method of the data reader object because it also fetches data.

 

The assumption is "data" means data from database. However it may not be because data is a very generic term.

actually i have faced this question in an interview i want to know how to explain  about this question..
