need assistance for searching

hey guys, good day. i can view my database in visual c++ by ADO but one thing is that it not user-friendly. i have to click the navigating btn find the ID i want. So i wanna have a search function like using titleid to search the thing i want. It like that, i key the no. 40 for titleid then click search. How should i start the code for search thanks.. alot

jus now, the comments i refering to kawa... hehe thnk... if any 1 know how to search in the table, by keying in the specific TitleId<---- the function code for that. really thanks===

ho, thanks.. i wanna search through my database for easy access. So the user dont have to click the next, prev, last or first btn to find the IDs.. that what i wanted to do. but ur code should i put under the View class or doc class, that bit of ur code is not sufficient right, i suppose . thanks asap. PLease elaborate...

Not sure if I really understand the question, but isn't that just something like: 1. Searching in DataTable by primary key: Find() methods in Rows property 2. Searching in DataView sorted by key(s): Find() methods 3. Searching in DataTable with text-written conditions: Seclect() methods ... rather slow

Not sure if I really understand the question, but isn't that just something like: SELECT * FROM table WHERE titleid=" + txtTitleId.Text that you need to use as search criterium?
