When we talk of IT industry, its a huge domain. From Testing, Data Engineering, Software Engineering from the UI/UX Frontend to Backend to domains of Data Science, the scope is extremely huge. So, my personal suggestion for you would be to actually take some time and explore these possibilities out there. Go checkout some job listing website such as indeed.com and checkout their descriptions for specific jobs. You can then search about these roles and the work experience of what the day-to-day work and their requirement looks like through some vlogs in Youtube.
Once you find what might interests you, dive into that prospect. Learning a language Python, C# or Php isn't that big deal - your prime objective must be to learn the programming mindset and concept. Once you learn it well, you can switch in time. Try out to develop some projects on that domain, learn Data Structures and Algorithms - get your fundamentals right and you'll grow in no time.
When you have that experience with the sample projects in your free time, you can search for possible internships or even job. Get paid for the role you want and what you want to learn over the years. There is no better place to learn and practise than in the workplace itself. You'll get mentors and seniors in the same company who'll guide you to reach your personal career goals too.
