need the code

Sir jamesdivine it is not the home work for me ,but I am interested in finding out it out becoz I had read in the book named THE SPRIT OF C by mullish cooper he have given the logic of finding the square-root of the number in c ,but the same logic or mathematic behind it is not working in vb.net . And sir to top it all of computer programming is not a lesson for me ,but its my passion . So i request u to please help me out in solving the above quere THE LOGIC GIVEN IN SPRIT OF C Is AS BELOW it is called the newton_raphson method for calculating the square-root for(guess=n/2) guess*guess-n guess=(guess+n/guess)/2 discription the formula for calculating the squre-root is newguess=(oldguess+(n/oldguess) )/2 where oldguess is the initial guess, newguess is the computed value, and n is the number whose sq is required . This process is then repeated, with the value of newguess becoming the value of oldguessfor the next iteration.For this reason ,both newguess and the oldguess can be replace by a single variable , guess. the above discription is not making any sence to me as i an impediment to understand .So pls sir if u can figger it out do send me the code waiting for your reply.
