Not getting credit

I answered the question in How to count specific letterr in a string? but did not get credit for it.

That is very frustrating for me. Anyone capable of programming would understand my answer. I really think it does not help people to do everything for them so that they don't have to do any thinking. I don't mind doing other people's work if I get paid for it but I am not likely to get anything significant here. I also answered the question in Prolem in DataGridView using c# but did not get credit for that either.

Thanks for clarification Sam.

1. Site owners and editors are excluded from the forum and site prizes HERE too. For example, we will remove my name at the end of the month from WINNERS.
2. Our site and forum members get points for each post they reply. Based on the points earned, we award Mindcracker MVP Award that includes trophies and other goodies including books, t-shirts, and other COOL stuff.
3. We nominate our contributors and authors to Microsoft for MVP award.
4. We are working on more monthly prizes besides CASH.

Please don't be frustrated. We are working on improving forums code and making all the changes YOU GUYS have requested.

Keep up the good work. We have much more to come.

Mahesh, the rules are different here than in nearly every other forum. I know of no other forum in which the owners are providing compensation for answers. The compensation is not guaranteed but is directly related to the quality and quantity of answers.

I was the first person to acheive 10,000 posts in CodeGuru.com, and about 99% of those replies were attempts to help others. I got nothing for my efforts but I did not expect anything. Well, I did eventually get a shirt and a book from them, which I appreciate, but I did not provide my time with any expectation of anything.

I also have five stars (or whatever the top rating is) in the MSDN forums, in which Microsoft representatives and other specialists ensure that answers get marked as answers. I mention that just to make the point that I do help other developers.

This site is different because there is an explicit opportunity to get money. This site needs to recognize that people's concern about getting credit is justifed.

I very much understand that the way this site works, we are dependent on the person asking the question to choose an answer. I understand that there are not simple answers to some of the problems. I hope the management makes an attempt at being fair. I think most of us will be understanding, but there will be a few that might express their frustration stronger than most of us would. I think most of us would appreciate that an attempt is made to be fair.

I have also given many answers at this forum correctly but sometime user does not reply after he got his solution but we can not do any thing as sam described many times it happen to me also .

here I given correct answer and poster after me modifies my code and post the the same answer just with one or condition that is understandable by normal layman programmer also my answer is more readable,well formatted and commented out so user can understand but still it happened to me.

some time i thinks not to answer some users even if i m knowing the Answer of the Question because of they have habit of running away after his work is done .

even we waste our 15/20 minutes some time in post Programming the solution for user,formatting, taking Snapshot from our pc, uploading images so that user can understand answer better then give answer and finally user don't respond as he got his answer :(

Guys,
What is the best solution for this kind of situations? I noticed more than one users have replied same question correctly. Unfortunately, forums does not support splitting points at this point. Also, I am not sure multiple correct answers for a question is a good idea.
