Oauth2 authetication implementation in C# console application

Oauth stands for open authorization which can allows the authenticated access to their assets without actually sharing the initial, related, single logon credential.

First we need to grant the type, client id and password.

{
{"grant_type", grant_type},
{"client_id", client_id},
{"client_secret", client_secret},
};

After that add HTTP response token ,

HttpResponseMessage tokenResponse = await client.PostAsync(baseAddress, new FormUrlEncodedContent(form));
var jsonContent = await tokenResponse.Content.ReadAsStringAsync();
Token tok = JsonConvert.DeserializeObject(jsonContent);
return tok;

Need to include the token classes,

internal class Token
{
[JsonProperty("access_token")]
public string AccessToken { get; set; }
[JsonProperty("token_type")]
public string TokenType { get; set; }
[JsonProperty("expires_in")]
public int ExpiresIn { get; set; }
[JsonProperty("refresh_token")]
public string RefreshToken { get; set; }
}

Instead of that you can use the below authentication code,

public AuthenticationService(AuthenticationConfiguration authentication)
{
_app = ConfidentialClientApplicationBuilder
.Create(authentication.ClientId)
.WithClientSecret(authentication.ClientSecret)
.WithAuthority(authentication.Authority)
.Build();
_scopes = new List<string> {$"{authentication.Audience}/.default"};
}
