OData not operator, or how to filter for all items which not

Hi,

OData not operator, or how filter for all items which not startswith(....)

I am using the SharePoint REST API, which is similar to OData, but currently I don't even know the standard OData way. I would like to filter items that do not start with a certain string pattern. How is the 'not' operator written in OData? All references list 'and' and 'or' operators and 'ne' operators, but I cannot find one for 'not'.

i tried as you suggested one. but caml query is not supporting for this.

need suitable caml query for not beginswith.

Hi

You have to add "not" before "startswith".

If you want to see all products starting with "Br" then use:
http://services.odata.org/OData/OData.svc/Products?$filter=startswith(Name,%20%27Br%27)

you will get bread as result

if you do not want products starting with "Br" then simply add "not" before startswith, like

http://services.odata.org/OData/OData.svc/Products?$filter=%20not%20startswith(Name,%20%27Br%27)
