Thank you, Mahesh. The important thing is that most people in America are not familiar with the term. It is not a big thing but I think it would help to occasionally suggest that a term such as beginner be used instead. I rarely say anything about such things but I see the slang fresher used a lot and certainly seems to me to be incorrect.
 
Germans often use the English word "overwrite" when they mean "override"; I am told it is easy for people for whom German is their native language to be confused by those words. I think there are a few terms such as that that some gentle comments are appropriate for.

Fresher means beginner :). Fresher is widely used slang in INDIA for a beginner.

It's same as if a person from USA writes, "I dunno". The person from INDIA has no idea what "I dunno" means.

In countries like India, where English is not a first language,ie, people don't natively speak English, they use terms like fresher to indicate a beginner or a newbie.

I hope you don't mind me asking what does "fresher" mean. I often see the word used but I think it is used only by people not familiar with English. Do you mean beginner?
