On-Premises SharePoint to SharePoint Online Migration Issue using SPMT

Hello everyone,

I am currently experiencing an issue while migrating from on-premises SharePoint to SharePoint Online. The problem is that files and folders are not appearing as expected.

Additionally, my site is not showing up on the active site. However, I can see the site type with the correct URL, and only then can I access all the site content.

Issue 1: Files and Folders Not Appearing as Expected

This issue could be due to several reasons12:

Permissions: Confirm that you have the necessary permissions to access the files and folders in both the source and target sites1.
URL Format: Ensure that the URL you entered is correct and follows the proper format1.
Source Folder: Confirm that the path you entered is correct and that the user of the SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT) has read access to the folder1.
Active Directory Synchronization: If you’re migrating file permissions, there must be a corresponding user in SharePoint Online (SPO). The easiest way to accomplish this is to synchronize your Active Directory accounts to Microsoft Entra ID2.

Issue 2: Site Not Showing Up on the Active Site

This issue could be due to the following reasons345:

Site Visibility: It may take some time for the site to appear on the SharePoint home page3. Try following the site and then wait some time to see the result3.
Site Creation: Confirm that you have permissions to create the site and that the URL is valid1.
Dashboard View: You might need to switch “All sites” to “Classic sites” to see the site5.
SharePoint Admin Center: If you are the SharePoint admin or global admin, you could go to the SharePoint admin center to check the site4.
