The question of "open source platform" asked in my interview ? I know very well about the "open source software" but I want to know "open source platform" ? If you know please tell me....

I don't know what you mean by "support open source platform". If you are asking if open source software can execute within .Net then the answer is yes.

Microsoft's version of .NET isn't 'open source' as such.

However, parts of .NET (including the CLI, base class library (BCL) and C# up to version 2.0) have been standardized by both ECMA and ISO.

This has allowed others to build open source versions of .NET, most notably Mono (http://www.mono-project.com/Main_Page).
