opening and editing the pdf using a metafile

hi..
i got stuck in a program,, i need to open a pdf using a meta,i got the concept to open this,i wanting to convert the pdf to a metafile,can anybody tell me am i in the right track or what else to do, after opening this i have to edit the pdf file.help me if u can,actually i am new to vc++.and i am working in vc++8.
