Partial page and partial view

there is nothing like partial page

there are partial view and partial class

if you have a class which has huge number of methods then just for shake of simplicity you can create two physical class with same name but partial then then will be auto merged at run time.

 

Partial view is a logical view , i said it logical because it can't be used independently, means you can not run a partial view itself , a partial  view will always be inside a main view.

partial views are used for reusable user interface , suppose you have a design of a form which you want to use in different different pages then instead of creating several views you can create a partial view and you can refer the same partial view on any main view.
