1. XML file is a file that contains data using user defined tags as plain text. This XML format/file is supported in .NET Web services which uses SOAP protocol.

2. Protected keyword is an access modifier, which when applied to any member variable/function in a class, lets enable to access that variable/function in that class plus in the derived classes.

3. Override keyword is used to override a function in the derived class which is actually declared and defined in the Base class.
