Print and save records in C# web application.

i try many things but still not working.

how to save and print directly record to printer in C# web application.

my code is simple as a below example.

Save code for record

and print record which is being save on crystal report.

}

i dont want to use any gridview to display records. simple page to store record and print. direclty.

like as visiter pass.

Please don't just copy/paste the code, understand the basic principle of code, what does it do and how we can improve it.

Follow the below algorithm to accomplish your task, Crystal reports is not a storage medium, it is showing data in a pressentable manner
Suppose you save an employee to the database and it must have an ID (no matter what DataSource you had used : DataTable or class model.
When you clicked on Save button (in UI), save the records into the database and then retreive that inserted ID.
Now, in the posted article (CR without preview), fetch your data in code behind and order to print it.
Thats it.

I have used SQL Server to store records in my application. The record should be stored in the SQL Server when I press the save button and print on the Crystal Report. Both of these processes must take place at the same time. I have no idea how to do it. I haven't used any datasets. i have designed the Crystal Report according to my records.

sir please show your code , exactly how are you saving into crystal report , whatever will be there in your dataset will be printed , so its a matter of fact that what are you storing into dataset ,
the code where you are saving records to report at that time create a dataset and pass this dataset as a source to the reportviewer then print it as descibed in the artice.

This article prints all the records. I have tried this article. i only want to print that record which is currently being save.
