problem connecting to application locally, but able to connect to external databases (windows xp turkish ed)

Hi all,

I'm having a problem figuring out why I can't seem to access my application which I made using VS C# and Sql server 2005. Btw, i'm getting it to run on a turkish version of XP, and I don't get an error whenever I use an english version of XP or when I configure the connection of the application to access external database. I've already remade the codes and the scripts of my application for the "i I" issue with regards to the Turkish language. But am still unable to connect locally! Has anyone of you ever encountered this?

Hi.

It's a winforms application. I've checked all the settings already (tcp sockets, settings, etc) and Iwecan't find anything wrong with it. We already have the application perfectly running already on other language versions of windows xp (german, french, spanish, etc) everything except for the Turkish version of windows xp. That is where we're having problems right now, and we only noticed this bug just recently when a turkish client became interested in buying our software. I'm pretty sure that some developers have already had this problem before with turkish versioning.

There is not enough information here; is the application win forms or web? Have you configured the local instance of 2005 to allow for access (correct accounts, remote connections, tcp/ip, named pipes, etc.).
