Project Ideas to learn OOP

Hi Friends,

I am in the process of learning the concepts of OOP. In my opinion, the best way to learn any programming concepts is to actually work on a project and get the hands wet. That's the best way I guess to master any concepts/programming language.

I have never got a chance to work on a project that had actually provided me an opportunity to learn/apply OOP concepts. I would be so grateful if you could suggest me any sites from where I could get some ideas/problems which I could treat as a project and work on it.

Instead of searching for some projects with OOPs concepts, just create your own project and try to implement these features there. It will be better for learning.

Just few reflections on your thoughts.
You may not be able to use all OO concepts within one project.
You are right in thinking that applying the concept oneself is always a better way to learn because it always stays with oneself. Otherwise all sound like empty words mean nothing.
You may think about what you are passionate about and create a project out of it.
I had partially implemented .NET Code generator project where in you connect to db and create Create, Read, Update and Delete (CRUD) code for the table which includes a model, all stored procedures, a DAL, etc.
To add complexity choose more than one databases as a source (SQL Server and Oracle) and more than one .NET languages to generate code (C# and VB.NET).
