we can do copy of that doc and rename the copied one through coding.

hi,
in order to read and write document file you have to use either microsoft word interop service or third party tool like spire.doc.
if you are using microsoft word interop service then ms word should be installed on the machine to work.

It's very easy to do this with Free Spire.Doc library(https://www.e-iceblue.com/Introduce/free-doc-component.html). Refer to the following code to copy content from one word document to another with it:
Document sourceDoc = new Document();
sourceDoc.LoadFromFile("source.docx");

Document destinationDoc = new Document();
destinationDoc.LoadFromFile("target.docx");

foreach (Section sec in sourceDoc.Sections)
{
    foreach (DocumentObject obj in sec.Body.ChildObjects)
    {
        destinationDoc.Sections[0].Body.ChildObjects.Add(obj.Clone());
    }
}
destinationDoc.SaveToFile("target.docx", FileFormat.Docx2010);
